Waldorf Astoria’s Grand Wailea Resort on Maui commissioned a unique sculpture to be used throughout the resort for SALT (Satisfaction And Loyalty Tracking). Carte blanche, Hilton called upon Will to develop a specialized award, a work of art with inspirational impact. The resulting interactive sculpture shown was designed to hold meaning for the entire team. It incorporates a clear glass hour glass encased in the clear lucite and rhodium plated 10.5” salt shaker. The hour glass in the SALT Award serves as a reminder that all the tiny things team members do constantly build up and combine in a superlative guest experience at the resort. Through the interaction of turning the salt shaker and seeing the tiny grains build, moment upon moment, team members are invited to focus and reflect on how the many small things each person does contributes to overall success.
